AERCO 2022 Composer in Residence

Chris has just completed his first commission as part of the AERCO 2022 Composer in Residence project, with an a cappella setting of the Pentecost text, Loquebantur Variis Linguis, for the Luigi Gazzotti Choir of Modena, Italy and their director, Giulia Manicardi.. Giulia has written: "Dear Chris, thank you for your mail and for the attached setting of Loquebantur....I looked at your piece and...WOW, I love it! Sounds very good and I think that will be very suitable for my choir and they will really like to sing it. I like the subject, flowing and joyful, its development and the glorious Finale. I think that we'll perform it in April 2023, for the 100th Anniversary". Thank you very much Giulia for these lovely comments and for giving me permission to quote them. I would also like to thank Andrea Angelini, director of AERCO for organising and including me in this project. Now on to the next commission!
